Genepì (génépi or génépy in French) is the collective name for the varieties of mountain herbs that comprise the genus Artemsia, otherwise known as wormwood. Though wormwood is often associated with absinthe, genepì and its lightly floral, mentholated bitterness are most clearly showcased in the Alpine liqueur of the same name. Traditionally enjoyed neat as an aperitivo/digestivo, genepì liqueur can also add distinct herbal dimension to cocktails. Try a quarter ounce in a Martini or Old Fashioned or enjoy over ice with club soda and a twist of orange and start living your best après-ski life.
