"The pale and ethereal 2022 Supersónico is a surprise that goes beyond the character of the year. It's from an old vineyard (now certified organic) at 1,030 meters in altitude on gray slate soils close to Calatayud, a cold place that delivers wines with great finesse and elegance. It fermented with 100% full clusters in oak vats with indigenous yeasts and had a long maceration, then it matured in oak foudres. It's very tasty, with berries, herbs, even bay leaf, and has tension, fine tannins and a supple, almost salty finish. This plot has some 8% to 10% Macabeo white intermixed with the Garnacha. It has 13.5% alcohol with a pH of 3.45 and 5.55 grams of acidity. 6,918 bottles were filled in July 2024."

"This has subtle notes of raspberries, geraniums and liqueur. It's juicy and layered with supple tannins, tension and nerve, but also elegant and ethereal. This is mostly garnacha with a touch of macabeo. It comes from an 80-year-old, 2-hectare vineyard planted at 1,030 meters in a site known as Las Frías. Aged for 12 months in foudres. Drink now or hold."

"Tasted next to the 2020, the 2021 Supers¢nico is a fresh Garnacha from an old vineyard at 1,030 meters in altitude on slate soils close to Calatayud that is now in conversion to organic farming. The grapes were handpicked on September 28, fermented with 100% full clusters in oak vats with indigenous yeasts, and it matured in used 500-liter barrels and 2,500-liter oak foudres. The wine finished at 13.5% alcohol and with mellow acidity and freshness. It's subtle and serious, with flowers and herbs and is elegant more than powerful. There's a lot more grip in the tannins here, more energy and a nice balance that should make it age nicely. 8,742 bottles were filled in March 2023."

"The 2020 Supers¢nico was harvested on October 4 (later than in 2020), fermented with 100% full clusters in oak vats with indigenous yeasts and matured in used 500-liter barrels and 2,500-liter oak foudres. The wine has similar parameters as the 2021 I tasted next to it‡13.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.5 and 5.15 grams of acidity (tartaric). Despite the moderate ripeness and the similar data, there's a sensation of more ripeness here, and it's also more Mediterranean, aromatic and juicy, with fruit and perfume with notes of herbs. It's medium to full-bodied with round tannins. 8,517 bottles were filled in April 2022."
