"The 2020 Telescópico Tinto from Bodegas Frontonio is made from an intriguing cépages of garnacha, garnacha peluda and mazuelo, with all of the vines in excess of fifty years of age. The wine includes eighty percent whole clusters in this vintage, with the bunches foot-trodden and the wine raised for just over a year in a combination of oak barrels and foudres. The wine offers fine depth and complexity on the nose, wafting from the glass in a mix of dark berries, fruitcake, hung game, fallen leaves, coffee grounds, dark soil tones and a topnote of woodsmoke. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, black fruity and peppery, with a fine core of fruit, good soil signature, well-integrated tannins and a long, complex, well balanced and meaty finish. Good juice. 2032- 2060."

"I tasted two vintages of some of the wines, like the blend of Garnacha Fina, Garnacha Peluda and Mazuela from the villages of Alpartir and Morata. The 2020 Telesc¢pico Garnacha ú Garnacha Peluda ú Mazuela was cropped from a rainy year and had a similar vinification and ,levage as the 2021 I tasted next to it‡80% full clusters, indigenous yeasts and 12 to 14 months in 500-liter barrels and 2,500-liter oak vats. It's a little more Mediterranean and riper but without excess, a vintage with more fruit, and it's juicy and has fine tannins. 19,283 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2022."
