"Lemon peel, kumquats, sage and fresh pineapple on the nose, followed by a very fresh, medium-bodied and subtly spicy palate. Drink now."

"A fine expression from a warmer year. Peach, raw almond, apricot pith and a noble quinine bitterness, straddle an inherent ripeness. A corralling cleft of saltiness and stream of gentle, maritime freshness. Consummate poise, the result. There is always a tendency toward excess in vintages such as this. The winners are those that avoid it. Here, an example. Drink now."

"Chamomile traces complement sweet flowers and crushed yellow apples as the 2022 Fiano di Avellino opens in the glass. This is zesty and wickedly fresh, with a slight effervescent feel. Salty mineral tones add a reverberation of tension. Young peaches and sage notes remain as the 2022 finishes crisp."

"Bright and juicy, with pineapple, peach, blood orange sorbet, pink grapefruit granita, anise hyssop and honeysuckle flavors. Silky on the palate and well-knit, sculpted by lively acidity and a nice push of minerality that shines on the finish. Drink now. 5,800 cases made, 1,500 cases imported.—A.N."

"Showing good freshness and fruit quality in a challenging and very hot vintage, the Colli di Lapio 2022 Fiano di Avellino Romano Clelia shows nicely to both the nose and the palate. It opens to creamy citrus, golden apple and yellow papaya. Mineral tones are softly woven throughout. The secret of this wine is its high vineyard elevation, with vines at a cool 530 meters above sea level on volcanic soils. This is an ample production of 70,000 bottles."

"A very pretty wine, the 2021 Fiano di Avellino Romano Clelia offers a creamy, lean-bodied approach with an explosion of different citrus aromas, from tangerine to preserved lemon. Slate and wet rock also appear. There is a floral note that falls somewhere on the verbena or lantana spectrum, and the wine covers the palate with its silky intensity. Some 6,000 bottles were released."

"Sweet, honeyed florals, crushed apple and mint introduce the undeniably pretty 2021 Fiano di Avellino. This is soft-textured with candied lime and green melon notes flowing across a core of stimulating acidity. It tapers off dry yet crisply refreshing. A salty sensation calls the taster back to the glass."
