"Aromas of fragrant purple flower, wild herb, dark-skinned fruit, cocoa and a whiff of resin form the nose on the radiant 2022 Mogannazzi. Showing vibrancy and elegant restraint, the full-bodied palate offers ripe raspberry, red currant, dark spice and dried mint set against tight, close-grained tannins that leave a firm finish. "The 2022 Etna Rosso Moganazzi is dusty, floral and lifted, with an air of confectionery spices and chalk dust that gives way to dried black cherries. This is round and supple, with a lavender-laced blend of red and blue fruits that swirl across a stream of brisk acidity. Grippy tannins come forward through the finale as the 2022 tapers off long and perfumed. A dusting of violet candies punctuates the experience beautifully."

"The Tenuta delle Terre Nere 2022 Etna Rosso Moganazzi is 100% Nerello Mascalese from a two-hectare vineyard at 700 to 750 meters in elevation on the prized north side of the volcano. It offers big intensity and broad flavors of dark fruit, spice and campfire ash. That spiciness is what sets this mid-weight wine apart. It closes with softly layered fruit tones. This is a 5,000-bottle release."

"From a small vineyard at 700-750 metres on steep terraces, with an ash topsoil over stones. Fleshy red and black cherry aromas with some cocoa and balsam make for an enticing wine. In the mouth it's rich and intense, with good acidity injecting freshness into the black cherry, blackberry, violet and cocoa palate. The tannins are fine and grippy, clearly evident on the cheeks, supporting the concentrated, precise core. Full and delicious."
