"The Cottanera 2023 Etna Bianco punches above its affordable price point. You get great value with this pretty wine that offers enticing aromas of white flower, honey, citrus, crushed stone and sea salt. The bouquet shows balanced intensity, and although the wine is thin and easy in terms of mouthfeel, you get plenty of freshness to pair with fried finger foods or appetizers."

"The nose is simultaneously tangy and warm, with aromas of gooseberries, white peaches, lime and apricot, while an undertone of new sneaker provides balance. The slick palate brings more stone fruit and citrus, with a saltiness that sets up a bitter almond finish. — Danielle Callegari"

"This wine is an absolute sleeper: tasting older vintages highlights just how beautifully it ages. The 2023 is appealing in its aroma of white flowers, apricot, citrus peel and pear. Intense, ripe and easy drinking, it has a lovely lychee, pear and apricot character with a lively, zesty finish."

"A blend of Carricante from various contradas in Castiglione di Sicilia on Etna's northern side, this unoaked bianco is bright and cheerful, full of white peach, white flowers, apricot skin, cream, pink grapefruit and hay. Sapid and stony, its long, floral finish is delightful."

"The 2022 Etna Bianco lifts from the glass with a savory blend of dried flowers, stone dust and freshly sliced nectarine. Lifted in style, it displays ripe pit fruits and a sensation of liquid stone guided by fresh acidity. The 2022 finishes crisp and long, with a tart citrus concentration that puckers the cheeks and keeps the taster looking back to the glass for more."

"The team at Cottanera have really honed in their talents and experience when it comes to making white wine with the extremely popular Carricante grape. From a good vintage, their 2021 Etna Bianco is super zesty and fresh with all kinds of exciting citrusy and mineral notes. Winemaking sees cryomaceration and nine months of aging on the fine lees in stainless steel. This is such a fun, and easy wine to drink, especially if a summer sunset or beach panorama is on the schedule. Production is 40,000 bottles."

"A nose that's at first grassy and salty opens to reveal pink grapefruit, orange blossom, peach and even jasmine before a palate that's full and ripe with more stone fruit, citrus and flowers but an almost saltwater finish. ‡ Danielle Callegari"
