"From colored marls and gypsum Keuper soils, Dautel's 2022 Riesling opens with a bright, clear, fresh and fragrant bouquet of white seed and stone fruits, indicating a dense core but also a lighter, filigreed style. The wine is pure, light and luckily also juicy on the palate, revealing a stimulating grippy character and feather-like finesse and lightness. This is a superb dry and characterful Riesling for an aperitif. 12% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Tasted in March 2024."
