"A blend of 50% Xinomavro, 30% Merlot and 20% Syrah, the 2019 The Fallen Oak shows aromas of dried currant, plum and dark fruit. The effect is medium to full-bodied, but the wine remains easier in terms of extraction and concentration, which bodes well for lamb or pork dishes. It offers good fruit weight with mild, dusty tannins over a medium finish. There is power here (with a 14.5% alcohol content). The wine's elegant texture is the big takeaway."
