"The grapes for Reinisch's 2021 Pinot Noir come from glacial, limestone-dominated vineyards around Tattendorf and Gumpoldskirchen. Macerated for 10 days and aged in large oak casks (10 to 30 hectoliters) for 10 months, this is a delicately fruity, lean and elegant Pinot Noir with fresh red cherry and berry aromas on the coolish, fresh and immediately stimulating nose. The palate of this medium-bodied wine is remarkably tight and finely structured but most of all perfectly fruity and juicy, with silky tannins and an elegant, energetic character with a clean and cleansing finish. A lovey Pinot for everyday at a very fair price (less than 10 euros ex-cellar). 13% stated alcohol. Screw cap. Tasted in January 2023."
