Cask Aged 8 Year Old Rum

• Aged blended Demerara rum produced by Demerara Distillers Limited at Diamond Distillery, the last remaining distillery in Guyana
• Produced in accordance with the Demerara Rum Geographical Indication
• Blend of column and pot still rums distilled from molasses in DDL’s heritage French Savalle still, Port Mourant still (PM), Enmore wooden Coffey still (EHP), and double Coffey still (SVW)
• Aged minimum 8 years in ex-bourbon casks
• The nose perfectly balances fruit and confection, displaying tobacco, clove, and dried cherry; a soft and silky palate of toffee, ginger, and stewed red fruit; clove, charred oak, and butterscotch on a dry, spicy finish
• 40% ABV

Created by DDL’s Master Blender, Sharon Sue-Hang-Baksh, this expression is markedly drier than the aged expressions preceding it, leaning into the smoky, mineralic profile that defines El Dorado’s extra-aged Special Reserve bottlings. Use this to add dried-fruit notes and a whisp of smoke to any cocktail, or simply enjoy it neat or over ice.
