"Maxime Graillot,s own domaine,s vineyards often lie adjacent to those owned previously by his father, Alain. His Domaine des Lises Crozes Blanc is crafted from forty year-old vines, organically farmed, with the c,pages of the 2020 being seventy percent marsanne and thirty percent roussanne. The wine is fermented with native yeasts and fermented and raised half in 'one 79 wine Burgundy casks and half in stainless steel tank. The wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation and the 2020 version offers up a lovely bouquet of pear, fresh almond, orange, peel, a complex base of soil, just a whisper of vanillin oak and a lovely range of musky floral tones in the upper register. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied and nicely succulent at the core, with good soil undertow, still lovely acids and excellent length and grip on the complex and wellbalanced finish. This is lovely juice. 2023-2030. "
