- Single cask, limited-edition Borderies Cognac produced by Distillerie Tessendier in Jarnac, France
- Double distilled in Tessendier’s Charentais copper pot stills
- Eau-de-vie distilled in 2004 and aged for a total of 15 years in French oak barrels, mainly from Limousin; initially rested for 10 months in new barrels before being transferred to used casks
- In 2019, the blend was finished for 6 months in new Japanese oak barrels made from Mizunara wood
- Aromas of candied cherry, tobacco, walnut, and baked apple transition to a palate bursting with apricot, strawberry jam, toffee, and clove before finishing with bold, spicy white pepper and tannic oak on the finish
- Limited release of only 660 bottles
- 44% ABV
This single cask expression from the under-represented Borderies cru uses grapes grown in the Tessendier family’s own vineyards.
