"From vines in the Helderberg at 420m altitude, the 2023 Chardonnay Stellenbosch is a climactic driven cuvée that grows in a cool and relatively breezy location. "The 2022 Chardonnay Stellenbosch comes from a plot around four kilometers from False Bay at 400 meters up the Helderberg Mountain, which slows down the growth cycle. This spent 12 months in 30% new French oak, then it was racked, blended and moved to tank to rest for six months. This has a wonderfully vibrant bouquet that makes an immediate impression: yellow fruit, hints of peach skin, egg whites and light almond scents. The palate is well balanced with pinpoint acidity, palpable mineralité and ample tension toward the finish. This is one of the best whites that Chris and Andrea have made."
