Chardonnay, 'Margaret River'

• Chardonnay
• Planted in 1976 on gravelly loam soils 
• The 5 blocks were hand harvested over 10 mornings
• 50% was fermented in a bespoke selection of brand-new premium French oak barriques and the remaining half in stainless steel
• Both portions were matured on undisturbed lees for eight months, with MLF and battonage avoided
• After blending, the wine was further aged in Ashbrook’s underground, climate-controlled cellar for 12 months
