A note from Carlo Mondavi “This bottling is dedicated to our grandmother, Marjorie who will always be a bright light of inspiration for us. Our grandmother was truly an incredible woman. Without question, her hard work, dedication, and steadfast determination led to where we are today. Our inaugural release of this chardonnay is a cuvée of the best barrels in our cellar hailing from two special sites along the westerly Sonoma Coast in Fort Ross-Seaview.”

"A light-bodied yet oh-so-full-flavored wine that opens with stony, floral aromas that lead to fresh and ripe fruit flavors backed by racy acidity. A great creamy texture but vivid in acid, minerals and chalk that lift the pear, citrus and white flower flavors. So elegant and lively, yet full of flavor and marked by a lingering finish. Drink or hold."

"The 2023 Chardonnay Lady Marjorie is a blend from vineyards in Fort Ross-Seaview and Occidental. Bright and sculpted, the 2023 is super-impressive. Citrus peel, white flowers, chalk, mint and white pepper all open in the glass. More than anything else, I admire the wine's total balance and harmony. Give it a year or so to soften."
