"An impressively chiseled pinot meunier with aromas of lemons, pear blossoms, white apricots, hazelnuts and salted focaccia, with a sprinkle of sea salt and toasted sourdough. Tight and focused, with a medium body and fine bubbles. So much structure and sharpness here. 100% pinot meunier from vines planted in 1968. From organically grown grapes. Only in magnum. Disgorged April 2022. Zero dosage. Better after 2024."

"Baron's 2018 Brut Nature Les Alouettes is once again performing very well, despite its very recent May 2022 disgorgement. Offering up aromas of ripe citrus fruit, freshly baked bread, dried white flowers and hints of the crisp stone fruit to come with more time on cork, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and vinous, with an ample core of fruit, racy acids and a long, saline finish."
