Tasting Notes

A fantastic edition of this! Again half/half 2013/2015, disg 11/2016, it’s long and charming, with apples, grasses and spices. It is exactly what it should be—what Champagne should be; insanely delicious, refreshing and complex, and perfectly balanced. —Terry Theise

Streamlined and fresh, this balanced version offers a hint of roasted walnut to the subtle notes of dried black cherry, biscuit and spun honey. Drink now. -A.N.

Review:
(100% chardonnay from Cramant, Avize and Oger; disgorged in May, 2013 after aging on its lees for two years): Green-tinged yellow. High-pitched aromas of candied orange, yellow apple, white flowers and ginger. Smoky mineral and white pepper notes add lift and refreshing bitterness to ripe citrus and orchard fruit flavors. The mineral note repeats on the sharply delineated, long finish, which features a subtle anise quality.
