"A firm and fresh Brunello with medium body, fine tannins and a crisp finish. The tannins are very energetic. Lively wine. Elegance with structure. Drink or hold."

"Maturing and just mid ruby with orange tinges. A little herbal and possibly reduced and, with aeration, slowly showing ripe cherry fruit. Just a hint of tobacco leaf indicating this is developing perhaps faster than it should. Succulent cherry fruit on the palate with plentiful acidity keeping the attention. Firm bite of puckering tannins on the finish that shows just a shimmer of oak. (WS)"

"Notes of mentholated herbs combine with balsamic spice, bull's blood, damp earth, tart cranberry and ashen stone aromas as the imposing 2020 Brunello di Montalcino Raunate smolders in the glass. It opens with a balanced inner sweetness and juicy acidity. Silky textures flow across the palate, ushering in ripe wild berry fruits and spices. A web of fine tannins forms through the finish yet doesn't get in the way of the 2020s momentum. There's a beautiful balance and structure here that is atypical of the vintage. Well done."

"Smoky tones of barbecue ember and sweet spice give this wine a bold start. The 2020 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna delle Raunate is tense and firm, with tight tannins stitched into thick fruity fiber. That nervous core is softened to a great extent by ripe berry tones and delicate aromas of pressed rose petal."
