"Just mid ruby. Minerally, earthy, brooding raspberry fruit with exotic-spice touches. Really distinctive. Savoury more than fruit-driven at this stage. Becomes more and more complex with aeration. Fantastic, elegant palate weight and with bags of fresh, crunchy raspberry fruit with crunchy, firm but not overpowering tannins. Sensationally balanced. Real energy and poise at the same time. (WS)"

"A red ruby color, the 2019 Brunello Di Montalcino Riserva Vigna Soccorso spent 42 months in oak and the rest in bottle. It has a more minty lift on the nose, with notes of licorice, cherry lozenge, sweet herbs, sage, and leather. The palate has wonderful tension and energy, with grippy tannins and stone fruit on a long finish. It's very nicely done and a pure drink to enjoy over the coming 20 years."

"A minty freshness opens the stage as the 2019 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Soccorso Riserva emerges with a bouquet of black cherries, dried flowers, pipe tobacco, crushed rocks and smoke. This is cool-toned and racy with soft textures and depths of mineral-infused red berry fruit aromas that drench the palate with youthful tension. Edgy tannins resonate as hints of cocoa and tart blackberry linger through the long and staining finale."
