"A fresh and floral red, exuding red berry aromas. Elegant and vibrant, featuring strawberry, cherry, rose and mineral flavors. This is also linear and focused, gaining speed through the refined finish. Sangiovese. Best from 2024 through 2040. 2,500 cases made, 800 cases imported."

"Crushed ashen stone, smoky animal muskiness and savory herbs waft up from the 2017 Brunello di Montalcino. With time in the glass, it gains pretty depths and refreshing notes of dried roses and cherries. The textures are soft, verging on fleshy, yet nicely contrasted by a more refined mix of wild berries and minerals. There,s a salty flourish that mingles with hints of licorice and residual acids through the finale, giving an almost juicy feel, and a coating of fine tannins frames the expression well."

"Aromas of mushrooms, black cherries, sour cherries and flowers. Medium to full body with chewy tannins that give form to the wine. Juicy fruit in the center-palate. Chewy at the end. Give this three or four years to soften."

"Camphor, underbrush and lavender aromas waft out of the glass on the 2019 Brunello from Casanuova delle Cerbaie. Lithe and savory, the elegantly structured palate features juicy Morello cherry, black raspberry and star anise alongside taut, polished tannins. Fresh acidity keeps it bright and balanced. Drink 202026–2032. Abv: 14%"

"The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino opens with a mentholated freshness, blending wild herbs with spiced blood orange and crushed raspberries. It,s softly textured with cooling acidity and crisp wild berry fruits. A bitter tinge of savory spice emerges toward the close. Sweet tannins linger, adding a pleasant punctuation as the 2019 finishes with medium length and youthfully chewy."

"A substantial, medium-bodied wine with excellent density and verve. It's shows plenty of cherry and citrus character, as well as cedar. Chewy tannins ,yet polished and open-grained. Give it three or four years to come together. Drink after 2027."

"Earthy in all the best ways, the 2020 Brunello di Montalcino opens in the glass with a whiff of flowery underbrush and leather, giving way to aromas of dried black cherry and cedary spice. It's silken in feel, with ripe wild berry and sour citrus tones that swirl beneath an air of violet inner florals. The 2020 maintains fantastic energy even as grippy tannins and hints of sour red berries saturate the senses. This is a fantastic showing."
