"A substantial, medium-bodied wine with excellent density and verve. It's shows plenty of cherry and citrus character, as well as cedar. Chewy tannins ,yet polished and open-grained. Give it three or four years to come together. Drink after 2027."

"The Casanuova delle Cerbaie 2020 Brunello boasts enticing aromas of cedar, blue flower, juniper and eucalyptus that mingle with spice notes. On the delicious, elegantly structured palate, firm, refined tannins and fresh acidity accompany Marasca cherry, wild strawberry, star anise and rosemary. What a great wine. Drink 2029–2035. "Earthy in all the best ways, the 2020 Brunello di Montalcino opens in the glass with a whiff of flowery underbrush and leather, giving way to aromas of dried black cherry and cedary spice. It's silken in feel, with ripe wild berry and sour citrus tones that swirl beneath an air of violet inner florals. The 2020 maintains fantastic energy even as grippy tannins and hints of sour red berries saturate the senses. This is a fantastic showing."
