"The 2024 Blanc de Noirs is made entirely of Shiraz grown on the vineyard in Great Western. It makes sense, given the Thompson family have so much of quality in the ground there, although they also have magnificent Pinot Meunier, the oldest vines of their variety in the world. On the nose, the wine is fresh with pears and green apples, lychee and blueberry. The palate is soft, light, plump and juicy, with a simple but delicious outlay of flavor. It finishes with candy floss, sherbet and citrus pith. This has very little complexity, given its youth and varietal composition, but that doesn't stop it from being delicious. Well played. 13% alcohol."
