"Mineral, red cherries, plums and a touch of white pepper. Tight, fresh and refined on the palate with tight, minerally textured tannins and a long, linear finish. Mineral, transparent and very nicely austere. Drink from 2025."

"The medium red 2020 Barolo Gattera has a lovely floral nose with aromas of fresh roses, wild strawberries, lavender, and mossy earth. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, bright, and balanced, with good energy, a saline mineral note, and a clean, stony finish with ripe tannins. Elegant and approachable, it's going to drink well over the next 15 years."

"The 2020 Barolo Gattera is another fine effort from Revello. It offers gorgeous aromatics and good depth, all in a charming, effusive style. Dark red fruit, cedar, spice, tobacco, menthol and crushed flowers reveal themselves with a bit of time in the glass. Give the grippy tannins a year or two to soften."

"This Barolo is a study in contrasts, with reserved dark fruits and a complex herbal undercurrent. Ripe black cherries, juicy plums and black raspberries with a hint of seeds form the core of the wine. Alongside the fruit, a medley of herbs, both fresh and dried, add intrigue. Notes of fresh mint meld with dried thyme and oregano, creating a captivating aromatic and flavor profile. The firm tannins provide structure and support for the concentrated fruit that dominate the palate. Drink now–2040.—J.P."
