"The Paolo Conterno 2020 Barolo Riva del Bric shows good focus and direction with powerful dark fruit flavors. It's not very long on the palate, but the wine delivers good power with a 15% alcohol content and easy black cherry aromas. It is fermented in steel and aged in botti for 36 months. Fruit comes from younger vines that are 25 years old. 20,000 bottles were created."

"Macerated cherry, pomegranate, earth and eucalyptus flavors are backed by a solid structure in this intense red. Turns tighter and more linear while building to the lingering finish, where savory notes reign. Best from 2028 through 2043. 1,666 cases made, 555 cases imported."

"Just mid ruby. Open-knit, super-approachable nose of cinnamon bark and marasca cherry. Lots of supple, ripe and almost rich fruit, quiet the charmer! The firm tannins are effortlessly absorbed by the concentrated fruit. Long, perhaps not the most complex but definitely hedonistic. Already giving lots of pleasure. (WS) 14%"

"An intense and vibrant Barolo with aromas of dried flowers, blood orange peel, sweet violets, earth, minerals and overall elegance. Full-bodied on the palate, it shows velvety and dusty tannins, refreshing acidity and a long, juicy finish that's stern yet balanced. Try after 2025."

"Pale ruby. Deep, exotic spice and ripe red-cherry-fruit nose with a hint of cinnamon bark. Super-attractive juicy cherry-fruit palate with cinnamon touches and long, finely ground tannins. Hedonistic. (WS)"

"Though a bit rigid, this red features cherry, black currant, iron and leafy underbrush flavors. Light-bodied, this is sustained by a layer of firm, dusty tannins. Best from 2025 through 2038. 1,666 cases made, 500 cases imported."
