Review:
“Black cherry, tar, tobacco and earth notes mingle in this chunky red. There are plenty of tannins for support and this finishes fresh, showing fine balance overall. Fruit, spice and iron accents grace the aftertaste. Best from 2017 through 2027. 166 cases made.”

Review:
“The 2013 Barbaresco Cole emerges from a tiny, postcard-sized parcel just before the start of Montestefano. The Cole is always the richest and broadest of the Moccagatta Barbarescos. Curiously, this is also the first of the estate's vineyards to ripen. An exotic mélange of dark cherry jam, wild flowers, mint, lavender and mocha takes shape in the glass. The 100% new oak is clearly felt but is also very nicely integrated just the same. This racy, forward, intense Barbaresco captures the essence of the Moccagatta house style.”
