Review:
“A distinctive nose of vanilla and sweet spices leads off, followed by a core of ripe cherry, plum, licorice and tar flavors. The texture is smooth and plush despite the youth. Shows a fine confluence of complex fruit, spice and savory notes on the vibrant, taut finish. Best from 2022 through 2040. 150 cases made.”

Review:
“The 2014 Barbaresco Cole is a deep, unctuous wine with huge center of fruit and tons of pedigree. This site tends to produce big, powerful wines. That is exactly what readers will find here. Black cherry, plum, smoke, licorice, graphite and menthol give the Cole much of its dark, virile personality. The Cole is the only Barbaresco that sees 100% new oak. Readers will have to be patient to allow the Nebbiolo and oak tannins to soften.”
