"The 2019 Barbaresco Asili was raised in 16-hectoliter French oak with up to 60 days for maceration. Medium-pale ruby in color, it's showing a slight amount of development in its notes of candied red strawberries, crushed roses, leather, and fennel. Aromatically, it's a bit more developed, but the palate offers bright structure and dusty tannins, with a note of orange peel and a lovely mineral finish with dried apricot fruit. A very pretty Barbaresco, it's ready to drink now or over the next 6-8 years. 160 cases produced."

"Rich, exhibiting cherry, currant, iron, tar and eucalyptus aromas and flavors. The finish is dominated by a tightly woven matrix of tannins today, requiring time and a cool resting place to integrate fully. Best from 2025 through 2043."
