"The 2022 Anjou Blanc Zerzilles hails from a southeast-facing site. It,s rather closed aromatically, but then again, this is a young wine that shouldn't yet be approached. Herbal and citrus notes emerge, with the influence of oak clear but well integrated into the wine's frame. It's a punchy style with a firm line of acidity that streaks through to its intense core, complemented by a twist of phenolics that holds things together with an assured grip. "

"Sultry brininess leads in this refined white, with a restrained profile to the apple and crunchy pear notes, flecked with cinnamon and dried star anise. Laced up with lemony acidity and built upon a salty mineral foundation, this is an example of the pure, unadorned style, with complexity that builds. Drink now through 2032. 125 cases made, 25 cases imported."
