"Lustau have sourced several sherries from Mr Obreg¢n over the years, and it is interestinghow these have evolved over time, with this Amontillado becoming more oxidative andpowerful since I first tasted it two decades ago. There are notes of salted caramel and driedfruits, even of Marmite, and this shows less wonderfully maritime than the Amontillado delCastillo above. The balance is impeccable, though, and as many of the Almacenista sherriesfrom Lustau, it manages to transcend the stereotype that you only get the highest qualitysherry with very long ageing."
