The team behind Averæn and Valravn was hungry for a Cabernet project that spoke to the quality of what they have historically made in Napa Valley. They teamed up with some top-notch partners at a boutique winery in Washington State to make Requiem, which is a blend of grapes from sites across the Columbia Valley and specifically from three AVAs: Walla Walla, Horse Heaven Hills, and Red Mountain. Each component is vinified separately and then undergoes a series of blending trials, looking for purity of fruit, complexity, and outstanding quality.

From its beginnings as a family winery named after its grape-growing family founders’ two sons, to today’s incarnation as a Columbia Valley AVA star with a Leavenworth landmark tasting room, Ryan Patrick continues to make approachable wines with a serious edge.
