REGION: Transcarpathia

Chateau Chizay was founded in 1995 in the village of Berehove in the Zakarpattia region, the Westernmost region in Ukraine, a few kilometers from the Hungarian border. Their advantageous geographic position lends itself to be a cultural melting pot, creating truly unique and approachable wines.

Founded by former pro tennis star, Sergiy Stakhovsky, the winery's 22 hectares of vineyards are located near Muzhievo village in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains in the Zakarpattia Region, bordering Hungary and Slovakia.
