REGION: Pannonhalma

The name directly translates in Hungarian to “The Archabbey Winery in Pannonhalma”. Winemaking began in the region when Benedictine monks founded the monastery in 996. After the fall of the Soviet Union in the 1990s, they replanted their vineyards and continued on the Roman tradition of viticulture.
