REGION: Mosel

Weingut Schloss Lieser is named for the stunning castle on the Mosel river in Lieser just south of Berkastel-Keus. In the early 1990’s, Thomas Haag began managing the winery and purchased the estate in 1994. The Haag family now owns 25ha including parcels in 8 Grand Cru vineyards along the Mosel.

Selbach is a proprietary brand for the regional wines of Johannes Selbach. Johannes uses his long-standing relationships with growers around the Mittelmosel to source quality grapes for these cuvees, keeping these wines inexpensive and serving as a great introduction to Mosel Riesling.

A family winery since 1600, Selbach-Oster’s wines have been linked with balanced, precise Mosel wines for many years. Today, Johannes Selbach, his wife Barbara, and their children, Sebastian and Hannah, manage their vineyards and winery with passion and respect for the estate’s long-held traditions.
