Okidaikichi Honten was founded in 1865 in the village of Yabuki in northern Japan and has been producing their renowned Gakki Masamune brand ever since. Named for traditional Japanese musical instruments, the sake has a lyrical quality, lilting and playful.

Okunomatsu Brewery’s history dates to 1716, when a family of samurai who had been defeated in battle turned to sake production to make a living. The tradition is carried on today by the 19th generation of the family, President Joji Yusa. With over 300 years of experience, they make powerfully structured sake with clarity and precision.
