Walter Glatzer organically farms over 50 hectares in the ancient region of Carnuntum. The gently rolling hills of stony, dense loam and gravel soils are perfect for red varieties, while the sand on the alluvial plain stretching to the Danube are ideal soils grüner veltliner and other white varieties

20-year-old Hanna Glatzer is taking certified organic fruit from her father’s vineyards and making wines her way – low SO2, low intervention. She was studying to be a lawyer and dropped out of pre-law, now going to Geisenheim.
