Luna Beberide
Today, thirty years after Bernardo Luna launched into winemaking, the second generation of the Luna Beberide family, led by Alejandro Luna Beberide, continues the same care and respect for the vines. In 1998, under the guidance of Mariano García, a Vega Sicilia winemaker and friend of the family, the first red wines from Luna Beberide were created.
In the eighties, Bernardo Luna’s innovative spirit and desire to modernize the wine sector in his land led him to experiment with more than 25 varieties of grapes from all over. He dedicated an experimental vineyard of 5 hectares in the “El Francés” Estate in Cacabelos, with the Mencia and Godello grapes being the most commonly used in the Luna Bebride wines.
