Aliança Vinhos de Portugal has long been one of the most prestigious producers of Vinho Verde in the region. In 2007, Aliança became part of the Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal along with famed estate Quinta do Carmo and, with winemaker Francisco Antunes, have continued the tradition of producing world-class wine.

The Vinho Verde is a blend of Azal, Pedernã, Trajadura, and Loureiro all grown on sandy-loam soils. As is typical with Vinho Verde the wine is low in alcohol with a crisp acidity and a light effervescence.
