We took some of the top growers in Champagne across the USA, stopping in Houston, Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, and Los Angeles to pop bottles for you, but it all started in NYC, on Halloween!
We had never done a tasting quite like this, with so many wonderful wineries and such a diverse range of producers. In Vino Libertas featured sixteen of the finest growers in Champagne to open their newest releases alongside some of our most beloved American producers in the portfolio.
We tasted the brilliant Chardonnays of the Côte des Blancs from Pierre Gimonnet, Varnier-Fanniere, and Pierre Péters next to Cathy Corison’s classic Napa Cabernets, the extraordinary winemakers from Vilmart & Cie, Chartogne-Taillet, and Margaine in the Montagne de Reims alongside the incomparable Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays of Rhys, Evening Land, Sandhi, Tyler, & Failla, the wines of the Vallée de la Marne with Gaston Chiquet, Geoffroy, Moussé, and Marc Hébrart, as well as the delicious Syrahs from Top Source and Piedrasassi, and the Loire Valley inspired wines of Lieu Dit. This was an experience like no other.
Thank you to everyone who attended our Champagne Tour — and an extra special thank you to all of our fantastic growers.
