QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior sales experience in restaurant, retail or wholesale distribution in wine & spirits, 2 years minimum

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Assistant Portfolio Manager reports to the General Manager and will assist all members in the portfolio for related day-to-day responsibilities and special projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
COMMUNICATION
- Salesperson queries
- Sales Facing Inventory & Inbound Reports
- Creating Offers to Sales Team & Key Clients
- Monthly Sales Meeting Notes
PR/PRESS MANAGEMENT
- Liaise with wine trade publications to provide information, coordinate shipments and organize tastings when applicable
- Manage review and scores for marketing purposes
- Update producer and product information on Skurnik.com
ADMINISTRATION
- Sales Analysis
- Soliciting Supplier Information
- SKU Setup and Management including pricing, compliance and marketing information
INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
- Review sales depletions to identify trends
- Review & maintain not shipping orders and holds
- Facilitate/Manage weekly intercompany transfers
- Suggest new purchase price orders or sales priorities
SUPPLIER MARKET WORK COORDINATION
- Assist Director of Sales in execution of market work calendar
- Point person for all logistical communications between PM’s, supplier and rep for scheduled market work
- Maintain historical ride-with tracker
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Market support to sales team and key accounts
COMPENSATION
$65-80K, commensurate with experience

CA – SALES REPRESENTATIVE, EAST BAY
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior sales experience working in wholesale distribution is strongly preferred, though not required. Candidates with commensurate retail and/or restaurant experience will also be considered.
- High level of expansive wine and spirits knowledge
- Understanding of the East Bay wine & spirits marketplace and relevant competition
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to self-start and work independently

- Computer experience necessary, utilizing all tools within Microsoft Office
- Must have a current driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable transportation

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and develop geographical territory, cultivating relationships with customers via face-to-face visits and phone/email correspondence
- Develop expertise of Skurnik’s deep portfolio of wines and spirits from around the world as the fundamental tool to establishing successful sales
- Work in conjunction with Portfolio Management and Spirits Specialists to facilitate sales opportunities
- Participate in market work assignments with visiting winery and spirits suppliers
- Participate in monthly sales meetings
- Participate in various trade and consumer tasting events
- Learn and utilize internal operating systems to effectively follow company policies
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Management
COMPENSATION
$65-85K plus a fine benefits package, including health, dental, flexible spending, and 401K matching. (Eligibility timelines vary).

- Understanding of the Albany / Northern Hudson Valley marketplace and relevant competition
