QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior sales experience working in wholesale distribution is strongly preferred, though not required. Candidates with commensurate retail and/or restaurant experience will also be considered.

REPORTS TO:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and develop geographical territory, cultivating relationships with customers via face-to-face visits and phone/email correspondence
- Develop expertise of Skurnik’s deep portfolio of wines and spirits from around the world as the fundamental tool to establishing successful sales
- Work in conjunction with Portfolio Management and Spirits Specialists to facilitate sales opportunities
- Participate in market work assignments with visiting winery and spirits suppliers
- Participate in monthly sales meetings
- Participate in various trade and consumer tasting events
- Learn and utilize internal operating systems to effectively follow company policies
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Management
COMPENSATION:

IN – SPIRITS SPECIALIST
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Expand footprint of Skurnik spirits in Indiana through:
- New account openings in these primary territories
- Indianapolis
- Fort Wayne
- Develop existing accounts with the sales team by expanding Skurnik representation through new placements, staff education and events.
- Conduct staff trainings on and off premise
- Schedule and lead consumer events in partnership with on and off premise accounts
- Participate in monthly company meetings and events
- Complete sales-focused initiatives, goals and incentives
- We expect you’ll see a minimum of eight accounts per day in the market.
- This can be accomplished through a combination of cold calling, scheduled presentations or intentional follow-up with existing accounts.
- You will be responsible for building out your schedule day to day and week to week
- You’ll develop and discuss a list of “top” targets for us to prioritize.
- Training will cover the various processes for opening a new account
DEVELOPING EXISTING ACCOUNTS:
- Working congruently with the sales team to develop and grow business within existing accounts
- Presenting to spirits buyers

REQUIREMENTS:

NJ – SPIRITS TASTING SERVICE, TASTER (JERSEY CITY)
Tasters will pour samples, serve cocktails, educate the public on the featured producers, and spirits categories at large, and engage with retail store staff, with the goal of encouraging sales and building the brands of these independent, craft Spirit producers.
This position will be focused on Jersey City and the surrounding areas.
HOURS:
Part-Time
- Thursday-Saturday (as available)
- Approximately 4pm-8pm (varies by day and tasting scheduled)
- Tasters will be able to set their availability in advance, and are not required to be available all three days each weekend, but a general availability of at least two days the majority of weekends is expected.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain detailed product knowledge and enthusiasm for craft spirits, on par with the standards of the Skurnik Spirits team. Tasters will receive training for the specific products they’re showcasing, but a general background and understanding of the category is essential.
- Retrieve samples and other tasting materials/ingredients from Skurnik’s Manhattan office (if applicable), or maintain a personal supply of samples and tasting materials, coordinating with Tasting Service management as replacements are needed.
- Travel to the location for each tasting, arriving in a prepared, timely fashion. Depending on geographic area, this may require a car and valid drivers’ license.
- Prepare and serve cocktails which demonstrate products in a compelling, approachable format.
- Pitch and showcase brands and products to the general public, attracting interest from customers, encouraging them to engage with producers in an active fashion, and attracting sales for the retail store.
- Educate shop staff on products and brands shown during the tasting, equipping them with the tools to make future hand-sales to their customers.
- Visually audit and record retail shelves as it pertains to poured/tasted items.
- Promptly fill out a detailed recap form following each tasting.
- Accurately maintain a personal availability calendar for the purposes of bookings.

NY – ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ASSOCIATE
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
As part of the Collections and Accounts Receivable team at Skurnik Wines, the Accounts Receivable Associate will share in the responsibility for collections and cash application.
The ideal candidate is someone who can learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. The successful individual will bring their experience, and be able to think proactively to come up with opportunities to increase efficiencies and improving current processes. The candidate must be able to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables. The candidate must be able to work well independently as well as a team member.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Weekly collection calls to NY, NJ, CT, PA, RI, and CA customers to ensure monies are received per ABC & SLA calendar and within terms.
- Initiate, track and maintain all records/files associated with collection activities for each account to include negotiated payment schedules, telephone call documentation and collection letters.
- Prepare daily cash receipts journal and post cash receipts to customer accounts daily.
- Research discrepancies and debit memos to secure reimbursement.
- Ensure company adherence to credit policies and procedures for consistent handling of collection matters to maintain good customer relations.
- Daily credit hold review and releasing of orders in accordance with internal credit policies.
- Daily communication with sales force to secure checks, paperwork, and customer satisfaction.
- EDI billing for large accounts.
REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:
- BS or AS degree in business/accounting/finance or an equal level of directly related experience
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in customer service, accounts receivable
- Ability to interact with personnel at all levels of the organization
- Strong PC skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to modify behavior to manage situations and individuals involved
- Wine industry experience a plus
- Ability to handle high volume of work efficiently
- Microsoft Dynamics Navision a plus.
- Capable of sound decision making
This position is a full-time non-exempt position located in our Jericho, Long Island office
This is currently a hybrid position, that requires a minimum of three days per week in the office.

OH – REGIONAL SALES MANAGER
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for overall sales performance and growth in Ohio
- Direct supervision of growing the Ohio sales rep team
- Work with the Director of Sales and GM to evaluate performance of team and implement strategies to ensure continued growth and success
- Identify and develop new territories as needed
- Regular travel throughout Ohio to work with the sales reps for key presentations, events, and customer support
- Work closely with portfolio management to channel focus of sales team to core priorities
- Work with the Director of Sales and GM to develop and execute successful programs
- Help to plan, execute, and participate in market work, tastings, events, and dinners for visiting suppliers

COMPENSATION:
