Sfursat Classico, Aldo Rainoldi
Sfursat, meaning “forced” in Italian, is only made in the best vintages and is subject to extremely stringent production regulations. The Nebbiolo is dried on straw mats for three months before undergoing a very gentle pressing. It is aged in oak for two years and one year in the bottle before being released.
About 9,000 bottles are made in spectacular vintages.
Garnet red in color with intense, spicy aromas, and hints of fruit preserves, toasted hazelnuts, and dried fruit. The warm palate, is full-bodied and round with well-balanced acidity.
