SCU-165

Rioja Blanco, Contino, CVNE

70% Viura, 25% Garnacha Blanca and 5% Malvasía. Manual harvest from a selection of our estate vineyards. After desteming, the grapes were fermented in 12,300 liters stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature between 82 and 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Total maceration time was between 15 to 20 days. The wine was placed into a mix of used French and American oak. Racking was done every 6 months. After two years in barrel, the wine was bottled and spent another two years in our underground cellars.

Tasting Notes

A bright clean yellow color with shiny shades of gold, this wine shows plenty of slow-flowing legs when swirled in the glass. To the nose, aromas of yellow fruit, citrics, and toasty nuts with notes of fine wood can be picked. To the palate, it is a full-bodied wine although smooth and elegant in character with silky tannins and a high level of acidity that makes its mainly fruity aftertaste longer.
