A blend of Garnacha Blanca, Macabeo & Cartoixà (Xarel-lo). This wine is fermented and aged for nine months in a combination of French oak barrels and clay amphorae. A very unique wine with extremely limited production.

There is a new white produced with Xarello locally known as Cartoixà, a truly 'natural' wine called 2013 Venus de Cartoixà; it has lots of apples, yeasts, wet chalk, with something earthy and an oxidative touch that made me think of the wines from Ganevat. The wine took almost one year to finish fermenting. I'd love to see this wine again in some five years, but unfortunately volumes are tiny. The nose is really complex, with hints of nuts, flowers, honey and apple tart. The palate is truly remarkable, incredibly tasty and long. This is a groundbreaking white. There were some 500-600 bottles produced.
