‘Impulsivo’, Cayuse Vineyards
Grapes are grown in Cayuse’s “En Chamberlin” Vineyard. Planted in 2000, these are the first vines in the region to be grafted on phylloxera-resistant rootstock.
Classic, savory notes of spice-box, cedar, dried flowers and black cherry fruit as well as full-bodied richness and depth on the palate. While there is a lot of tannin here, it’s sweet and high quality, and is perfectly integrated into the wine. Give it 3-4 years on release and enjoy over the following 10-15 years. –Jeb Dunnuck, The Wine Advocate
