Cask Aged 8 Year Old Rum

• Aged blended Demerara rum produced by Demerara Distillers Limited at Diamond Distillery, the last remaining distillery in Guyana
• Produced in accordance with the Demerara Rum Geographical Indication
• Blend of column and pot still rums distilled from molasses in DDL’s heritage French Savalle still, Port Mourant still (PM), Enmore wooden Coffey still (EHP), and double Coffey still (SVW)
• Aged minimum 8 years in ex-bourbon casks
• The nose perfectly balances fruit and confection, displaying tobacco, clove, and dried cherry; a soft and silky palate of toffee, ginger, and stewed red fruit; clove, charred oak, and butterscotch on a dry, spicy finish
• 40% ABV

Created by DDL’s Master Blender, Sharon Sue-Hang-Baksh, this expression is markedly drier than the aged expressions preceding it, leaning into the smoky, mineralic profile that defines El Dorado’s extra aged Special Reserve bottlings. Use this to add dried-fruit notes and a whisp of smoke to any cocktail, or simply enjoy it neat or over ice.
