Champagne, Blanc de Blancs, Goutorbe
Vallee de la Marne
I have long coveted this cuvée, which they produce in miniscule quantities. It’s all ’06 and all Bisseuil, and it’s utterly delicious, amazingly sprightly and flowery for an ’06; total wisteria and purple lilac; endlessly charming, limpid, a girlish giggle of fruit; finishes with balsam and lavender. This isn’t “mineral;” it’s a garden of flowers on a mild morning, just as the sun hits it. Disgorged 7/10.
