Brut Reserve, Gobelsburg
Tasting NotesThe assemblage has changed to 50% GV and 25% each Riesling and Pinot Noir. I don’t know if this is permanent, but I suspect not. Look for the 12/2015 disgorgement, which is now on the label. The wine is typically herbal, refined, angular and on the money. – Terry Theise

Medium green-yellow with a fine, persistent mousse. Delicate bouquet of wild strawberry, acacia blossom, honey and sponge cake. Creamy and fine in the mouth, with refreshing acidity lifting and extending the crisp green apple and strawberry flavors. A lemony nuance emerges on the back end of this unique and attractive sparkling wine, which would make an ideal aperitif.
